Beratungsstelle häusliche Gewalt gegen Männer (BGHM)

The counseling center provides special support for men affected by violence in northern Bavaria. The target group is all people who identify as male (e.g. cis, trans or queer). It is a non-discriminatory and open contact point for people who have experienced domestic violence. Solutions and ways out of the violence are worked out in one-to-one discussions. Telephone counseling is also available if the journey to the counseling center is too far. Counseling is free of charge.

Women affected by violence can find protection and help at the AWO Würzburg women's shelter. Here they have the opportunity to distance themselves from their violent partner and gain more clarity about their future. The women's refuge is also a "shelter" for the girls and boys who are taken in with their mothers - a place to take a breather, recharge their batteries and give their lives a new direction.

Frauenhaus des SkF

The women's shelter is open to any woman - alone or with children - in the event of acute or imminent physical, psychological and/or sexual violence, regardless of religious denomination or nationality. It offers the women and children affected a temporary, safe and anonymous place to live. Men are not admitted, the address is secret. The women's shelter is available day and night, including Sundays and public holidays.

The task of the University Women's Representative is to promote and protect the interests of female students, lecturers and academics.
